With a weather front pushing through Connecticut last night, temperatures got into the high 50’s and lower 60’s. Piggybacking with the warm weather was the strong winds with gusts over 60mph throughout the state. Not the January weather we are expected to have around here.
I went down to to the New Haven area to see if there was any storm damage early this morning.
There was not much, but I did find some nice cloud formations over Long Island Sound and Lighthouse Point with a wonderful blue color to them.
As I made my way along the shore to Branford I stopped to look at the ocean on Limewood Ave. A place which always floods over. The tide was out and the only visible sign of damage was some sand on the road.
I was really taken back as I was was walking back to my vehicle and I spotted a full double rainbow in the west!
A rainbow, a double rainbow, in January? Crazy weather!
