I am taking a short break from my “Best of the West” series while the east coast goes crazy about Storm Sandy.

I am out preparing the house and yard for the worst. No doubt this is going to be a good one.

Already at work we are getting our marching orders for working long shifts all week.

Meanwhile, people in East Hampton, Ct. are acting like the end of the world. A senerio that I am sure is playing out all over the east coast. No ice, no milk, no bread, no gas, no generators, no Dunkin Donuts Ice Tea!!!  And…the storm is 2 days away!

Even the squirrels in our yard went crazy making short work of a pumpkin on my back deck. Oh well, if times get tough I know where there are fat squirrels to eat.
