(6-13-16) The body of a man missing in the waters of Long Island Sound was recovered shortly after noon Monday.
He is the second person to die in the boating accident that started at the Hammonasset Beach State Park, Madison.
A search was launched after three other people that had been with the man turned up early Monday morning on a beach in Southold.
A woman and a young girl were found on the beach near Southold, New York across Long Island Sound early Monday morning after their calls were heard by a nearby resident. The body of a 31-year-old man was found a short distance way.
The Coast Guard had been searching for the last member of the group, a 44-year-old resident of Manchester. He was found Monday afternoon by the Clinton Fire Department about 5 miles south of the Conncticut River.
