It’s spring time! Time to get all your camera gear in order and ready for your ourdoor activites.
Notice any Crocus flowers around? This one popped up today in my front yard. I took it as a sure sign of spring, and a good chance to check out some camera lenses that I haven’t used in a while. Blow the dust off. Wipe them down, and made sure there is a smooth turning of the barrel of the lens, so you can get a good clear focus. It’s also a good time to change any camera batteries and flash batteries that you been wanting to change for a long time. What about that camera bag that you store everything in? Take it all out. YES, ALL OF IT! It’s amazing what you will find in the bottom of the bag. Sand, bark, leaves, gum wrappers, old lens tissue, camera lens covers, old batteries, keys, and food crumbs. When its all out, flip your camera bag upside down and give it a good shake. Ah Ha! More sand and dirt. Just what your camera loves. Clean it out. And, before you put all the camera equipment back, think about putting down a old towel on the bottom. It not only absorbs morning dew, or rain off your camera, you can easily take it out and clean it. You never know what is going to crawl off of the crocus and into a nice hiding spot in your camera bag.
Happy Spring!
