A quaint village in New Brunswick, Canada called Alma is the home of the world’s highest tides. Twice a day the waters from the Bay of Fundy rush into it’s port, to yet again raise the water level up 40 feet so it’s colorful fishing fleet can set sail.
With a estimated population in 2010 of just over 300 tourists flock to Alma to see the tides change, and to walk out on to the sea floor almost 1/2 mile out.
