Today was a perfect day to have the 8th Annual Captain Grizzy Boat Parade. As usual it took place on a very busy Lake Pocotopaug in East Hampton, Connecticut.
Hundreds of spectators lined the shores of the lake in the most highly anticipated event on the lake for the year.
Here are a couple of images from the boat parade.
It’s not a boat, but it stole the show for about thirty minutes. This helicopter flew low and slow checking out the lake and it’s environs this afternoon.
This colorful balloon boat called “Unless” wowed the crowed as it sailed by with it’s colorful palm tree looking balloon clusters.
As the crowed shouted “Toilet Boat coming” you can see it was an imaginative local plumbing business trying to get some great advertising. Yes, he is plunging a toilet on the boats bow.
You have to have a pirate boat in the parade. Here’s the “Jolly Roger”.
East Hampton’s EMS service into the parade celebrating their 6oth anniversary.
Even the East Hampton’s Garden Club got on the water this afternoon.
