It was a great spring evening to see if I could capture Comet PANSTARRS again. Much dimmer, about a mag 4.6 close to the horizon, and moving much more north. I found it at about 8:10, after the sun had now set at 7:10pm finding it in my set of binos. Here is a shot of it at 8:30pm just as it was setting, and the sky was at its darkest. Comet still visible in Connecticut
Comet PANSTARRS is still visible to us here in Connecticut. It's to bad most people do not even know about it. It's not a "GREAT" comet but it was a little fun comet to chase for a week or so. Comet now visible in Connecticut
After much hoopla Comet Pan-STARRS has made its showing in the west. Just barley visible about 30 minutes after the sun has set, this comet is nothing what it was hyped up to be.
