Hurricane Leslie is still wondering around Bermuda, but it is certainly being felt, especially in Rhode Island.
Hundreds of surfers, boogie boarders, and kite surfers made their way to Pt. Judith and Narragansett Saturday with the promise of great conditions.
They were rewarded with 8 to 10 foot waves, right around the Pt. Judith Lighthouse area.
The parking lot near the lighthouse was overfilled by the surfers, but the Coast Guard opened up their private parking lot to accomadate the two weddings that were taking place there in the middle of the afternoon.
If you look at the picture above, you can see them starting to gather to the left of the lighthouse.
Large waves smashed into the breakers just south of the lighthouse right in front of these people walking on the rocks.
A parting shot of the best of Pt. Judith!
